Rafting Dunajec

Dunajec River is the border between the Slovak Republic and Poland. It lies on the north-eastern Slovakia. Flows through a beautiful environment Pieniny National Park, breakthroughs Dunajec. The tourist center for Pieniny is the Červený Kláštor village.

Rafting Pieniny

When rafting Dunajec, you can choose from several options.

Mostly rafting Slovak stretch of the Dunajec river, from the Červený Kláštor to Lesnica. The start is at the Červený Kláštor and ends at the beginning (end) the tourist trail in the village Lesnica. Rafting is technically simple and very nice. The way back can be completed on foot or by bike, which is about 11 km.

Another option is floating from Poland to Poland. It starts in the Polish village Sromowce Wyżne, continues by Slovak part of the Dunajec and ends again in Poland, in the village Kroscienko n. Dunajcem. Rafting is not technically intensive and the whole length is about 20 km.

Rafts Pieniny

Dunajec is known mainly because it is held tradition of flatboating. On wooden rafts floating the same section as the rafts, ie. Červený Kláštor – Lesnica. At the beginning of the line may be floating on a raft directly ordered

Equipment

During the colder or daždivejšieho period is also recommended waterproof jacket and neoprene boots. In the warmer period is sufficient, neoprene shorts, sandals and T-shirt. Are also a necessity at this rafting helmet and lifejacket.

Limits

For Dunajec are not any specific restrictions, but must also follow navigation decree, particularly as regards respect for wooden rafts, where there are quite a lot.
